Laura Faye Johnson

Mrs. Johnson had a fierce love for her family and always put them first. She loved music. Her favorite musical artist was Elvis Presley and she listened to his music during every trip she made in the car.

Mrs. Johnson is predeceased by her father, Henry Wright Hicks; her mother, Emily Hicks; and her children, Travis Johnson, Kevin Johnson, Kathy Johnson, Thekla Johnson; and siblings, Rick Hicks, Jimmy Hicks, Butch Hicks, and Pat Hicks.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Stoney Johnson; granddaughter, Teklia Harper (Andrew); granddaughter, Taila Brown (Jake); grandson, Robert Hicks (Shelley); granddaughter, Selena Sam (Roy); sister, “Sissy” Himes; and brother, John Hicks.

There will be a Gathering of Family & Friends from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home. A Memorial Celebration of Life will follow at 12 p.m.
