Linda Joyce Burns, age 84, of Bristol, TN went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 23, 2022. A daughter of the late A.C. and Edna Ferrell Burns born November 26, 1938 in Nashville, TN. She was a 1956 graduate of Cumberland High School in Nashville, TN, and she worked for the State of TN in human resources before retiring. Mrs. Burns was a member of South Bristol United Methodist Church.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas D. Steele, Sr. and infant brother, Randy. Survivors include her sister, Sandra Burns Adams; nephew, Jason Adams and wife Kathy; great nephews, Alex Adams and wife Ashley, Chris Ryan Adams; step son, Thomas D. Steele, jr. and wife Kathy; several cousins; special friends, Mary and Larry Dalton, Martha Nicholls, Lawanda Craft Lanius and Maryann Batey.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 am to 11:00 am Saturday, December 31, 2022 in Woodlawn Memorial Park Chapel, 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, TN 37204. The funeral service will follow with Rev. John Carpenter officiating.
