Obituary of Linda D. Craft
On January 22, 2023 our aunt, Linda Craft, passed away into God’s graces after a lengthy illness. Linda was born to Estel and Hazel Uhls Craft on February 14, 1947 in Franklin, Kentucky. A warrior throughout life, she was 75 years old. She was a strong woman in every way imaginable: independent, opinionated, loving, kind-hearted, hard-working who battled many diseases and challenges in her life. She passed gently to a waiting Savior whom she had not only a personal relationship with, but spoke to and counted on daily. She is survived by nieces and nephews, Tim, Tony (Sherry), Cheryl, and Melissa (Dale), and her many grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Estle and Hazel Craft and her sister, Meral (Kathleen) Craft Loy, and brothers, Michael and Stevan Craft. Aunt Linda also leaves behind many people who cherished and cared for her, the Strangis family, the Hudson family, residents of Hamburg Senior Living and many other dear friends in the Lexington, KY area. She talked about her many friends often, if not daily. She knew every detail of their lives. Aunt Linda requested a cremation and that we scatter her ashes on a beautiful body of water along with those of her sister, in a private ceremony. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering, child-like faith in God. For those who knew her, you know our Lord will hear her coming. Psalm 91:11 For He will give His angels charge concerning you, to guard you in all your ways.” Exodus 23:20 “See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared.”
