Linda (Dolly) Steely Leptic

Linda Darlene Steely Leptic (Dolly), age 78, of Mt.Juliet, Tennessee passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023. She was born to the late William Luke Steely and Margaret Frances Dooley Steely Strobl on March 28, 1945, in Nashville, Tennessee.

Dolly attended Antioch High School and went on to graduate from cosmetology school. She had many careers as a Hairdresser, PBX Operator-Opryland Hotel, Nanny, and retired from CSX Transportation. Dolly loved Jesus, her girls and her grandchildren. She enjoyed dancing, Alabama football, fellowship with her ladies church group and meeting up with her cousins each month. Dolly was a member of First Baptist Church, Hendersonville, TN. 20+ years. She was an avid dancer and member of the Music City Bebop Club. During her teen/young adulthood she was named Miss Fire Prevention and participated/won in numerous pageants over the years.

Dolly is survived by her daughters, Tammi (Randy) Dyce, and Jennifer Paty; grandchildren, Michael Dyce II, Trey Paty, and Truleigh Paty; brothers, Mike (Brenda) Steely, and Timothy Strobl; nephews, Robin (Rhonda) Steely, Todd Steely, Shane (April) Steely; along with numerous cousins.

Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her step father, James Strobl; granddaughter Megan Elizabeth Dyce and son-in-law, Joe Paty.

A gathering of family & friends for Linda (Dolly) will be held Thursday, December 14, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Friday December 15, 2023 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. A celebration of life will occur Friday, December 15, 2023 at 11:30 AM, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. Following with a graveside service with Michael Dyce II, Trey Paty, Robin Steely, Shane Steely, David Campbell, and James Jackson serving as pallbearers.

The family is not allowed to accept any food at the funeral home, due to Woodlawn Funeral Home policy of no outside food.
