LoBelle Sawyers Atwood age 79, passed away Friday, July 25, 2014. Preceded in death by husband, Thomas Atwood; father J. Granville Sawyers; sister, Nona. Survived by daughter Beth (Lynn) Doucette; sons Buddy (Pat) Lunn, Jay (Shara) Lunn, Jim (Beverly) Atwood, Mike (Irene) Atwood, David (Terri) Atwood; sister, Granleen, grandchildren Mack, Berek, Patience, Katie, Jason, Jon, Juliann, Jody, Brook, Jake, Lacee, Justin, Makenze, Jessi, Ashley; 7 great grandchildren & a host of family and friends. LoBelle was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be missed by many. Visitation Friday, August 1st 6pm till time of service at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home. LoBelle was a lover of animals, the beach, and Johnny Cash! She was employed over the years by Ernst &Ernst, Donelson Hospital, and Summit Hospital as a PBX Operator. She very much enjoyed a good book or a Titans game. She loved Donelson, and lived in the same house since 1967. Her favorite day was Thursday. That was the day that she would drive herself to the beauty shop to get her hair done, have some lunch, and go by Goodwill to do a little junking. She had just become active in the Hip Donelson Lost and Found Pets Facebook page, and had fostered/adopted a sweet dog. She unfortunately had to give him up when her health worsened. LoBelle had a rough go the last few months, and fought hard to maintain her independence, but now she is complete and with her personal Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
