Lois Jewel Jones
March 19, 1946 – July 29, 2022

Lois Jewel Jones, age 76, of Antioch passed away Friday, July 29, 2022.
She was a native of Davidson County and retired from The Cathedral of the Incarnation. She was an avid sports fan and loved the Tennessee Volunteers.
Lois is preceded in death by her husband William Lee Jones, her father Doc Carter and daughter Lisa Butner.
She is survived by her Children, Daniel (Julie) LaGarce of Wentzville, MO; Lori (Russell) Mosier of Chapmansboro, TN. Bill (Beth) Jones of Mt. Juliet, TN, Chris (Brandy) Jones of Murfreesboro, TN, David Jones of Murfreesboro, TN and Tim (Sandra) Jones of Castalian Springs, TN. She has 16 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
“Our mom was a kind, caring and giving person who always put the needs of her family before her own. Mom was a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity. She was a woman of strong faith and instilled in us the importance of family, hard work and doing what is right. Mom was a true role model who we will always look up to. Our mom was a source of inspiration to us all and will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.”
She is also survived by her Mother, Ruth Carter and her siblings Roger (Cindy) Carter of West Moreland, Terry Carter of Bellevue and Ann Wilson of Bellevue.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 13 at The Cathedral of the Incarnation at 9:00 am with visitation starting at 8:30 am. The Cathedral is located at 2015 West End Ave, Nashville, TN 37203. Parking is available in the lot behind the church.
