

Lois Marie (nee Alsfasser) Tito, age 89, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2014, in Brentwood, TN. Lois was born on January 15, 1925, in Springfield, Illinois, to Verona and Clarence Alsfasser. She grew up and spent most of her life in Chicago, until moving to Nashville in 1999. She loved to play tennis, bridge, snow ski and travel to foreign lands. She is remembered for her devotion to her husband and family, her homemade chocolate chip cookies and her talent on the tennis court. Lois was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel, and is survived by her daughters, Susan Oetzel (Terry) and Diane Griffin (dec. Marvin); son, Daniel R. Tito (Yvonne), grandchildren Amy Ryan (Mike), Beth Oetzel (Craig Burner), Jordan and Garrett Tito, great-granddaughter, Payton Burner, step-granddaugher, Katherine Griffin-Erickson (Chris); step-grandson, Mark (JJ); step-great grandchildren, Grace Ellen and Davis Griffin, Olivia Griffin-Erickson; a sister, Doris Pool (dec. Edward); three nieces, Mary Adele Boehm (John); Joan Tito; Carol Smith (George); and nephew, Father Joseph Paul Tito. The family wishes to thank the staff at Somerfield Health Center, The Heritage and Guardian Hospice for their loving care and compassion provided to Lois. Visitation with the family will be held on Monday, the 13th of October , from four until eight o’clock in the evening at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass celebrating Lois' life will be held on Tuesday, the 14th of October, at ten thirty in the morning at Holy Family Catholic Church, 9100 Crockett Road, Brentwood, TN 37027, with Father Joseph Tito presiding. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn’s Cross Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Nashville Rescue Mission, 639 Lafayette Street, Nashville, TN, 37203.
