OPPENHEIM, Lore, 91 of Nashville passed away peacefully with family and friends at her side on April 6, 2014. Mrs. Oppenheim was born in Germany and came to the United States at the age of 19 with her parents in 1941 fleeing Nazi persecution. She came to Nashville from New York in 1958. She was a retired Occupational Therapist from the Tennessee School for the Blind. She is survived by her daughter and son-in law Carol and Stevan Himmelstein, son and daughter-in-law Ronald and Nina Oppenheim, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Doris and Harry Vise, and six grandchildren. The family would like to extend a heartfelt appreciation for the love and care given by her caregiver Laura Huddleston. Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday April 8, 2014 at West End Synagogue with interment to following at KKAI Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Yad Sarah, Second Harvest, West End Synagogue, or the charity of your choice
