

Louise Bransford Frazer passed away peacefully on August 21st at the age of 84. Preceded in death by husband James Stokes Frazer III, parents, Dudley Bransford, Genevieve Eve Fletcher, sister Bee Fletcher, and brother John Fletcher, Jr. She is survived by her loving children Eve Frazer, Genevieve Ferguson (Hill Ferguson), and Jay Frazer (Anne Keeble Frazer) and her beloved grandchildren, William Ferguson, James Ferguson, Dudley Ferguson, Lilly Frazer, and Jack Frazer. She is also survived by her sister Anna Mary Lenderman (Dick), brother Whit Fletcher of Washington DC, Lynn Frazer McManus (Sam), and many nieces and nephews.
Louise was born in Nashville, TN. She attended Parmer Elementary School, The Harpeth Hall School, and was a graduate of Briarcliff College in New York. She was an avid volunteer through her lifetime extending her time and resources to many charities such as Friends of Children’s Hospital, Cheekwood, The Swan Ball, Junior League as well as numerous hours at her children’s schools.
Louise loved her time with the First Wednesday Group listening to lectures and spending time with friends. She enjoyed bridge and played in a regular game. She was a member at both Christ Church and St. George’s Church and spent time volunteering for both.
Family was most important to Louise. She devoted her life to her husband and children and later to her grandchildren. She loved to travel and enjoyed trips with family, close girlfriends and especially with her husband. The two spent their retirement years
visiting their children and traveling the world. Jim and Louise loved to entertain friends and family at their house on Center Hill Lake. Louise was known for her pancake breakfasts and picnic sandwiches with homemade mayonnaise. She could be found happily cruising at the helm of their pontoon boat. She also spent many summers at Bonnie Cottage in the Monteagle Assembly with generations of friends and family. The grandchildren loved spending time with their “Lulu”. Louise was very close with her sister Anna Mary with whom she shared a great resemblance. They were often seen about town together, and some even referred to the duo as “the bookends!” Louise loved to cook and try new cuisine. She and Jim loved cooking together and trying new cuisines and restaurants in their travels. She was a lifetime learner and was especially fascinated by new technology. Anyone who knew Louise knew of her kindness. She had a wonderful way of making people feel welcomed and loved. She was open minded and always understanding. As a mother, she made sure her children knew they were special each in their own ways. It was her superpower. She was generous of spirit. She always made time for the people she loved. She will be missed by all who knew her.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 12:30 to 1:30 and funeral service directly following at St. Georges Episcopal Church, 4715 Harding Pike Nashville, TN 37205 Tuesday , September 2, 2025. Interment will be held following the funeral Mt Olivet Cemetery 1101 Lebanon Pike, Nashville, TN 37210. Pallbearers: Hill Lenderman, Hill Ferguson, Jack Frazer, William Ferguson, James Ferguson, Dudley Ferguson, Walker Lenderman, Neal Morris.
