Gwendolyn Lucille Jetton Hatley, age 102, of Brentwood, departed this life on October 23, 2019. She was born on August 17, 1917 in Readyville, Tennessee to the late, Grover Cleveland, Sr. and Ertie Odell (McBroom) Jetton. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Marilyn Joyce Hatley Akin; siblings, Grover Cleveland Jetton, Jr., Charles Lee Jetton and Erline Proctor. Lucille was in accounting for over 40 year for the Kroger Company. She was active and energetic up unitl her early 90’s.
Lucille is survived by her grandchildren, Kim & Michael G. Walker of Brentwood, TN and Chuck & Jami Akin of Atlanta, GA; son-in-law, Charles Miller & Sandy Akin of Atlanta, GA; great-grandchildren, Charles Bradley & Jamie Harper of Newbury Park, CA, Adam Christopher & Lauren Harper of Atlanta, GA and Andrew Blake Harper of Chattanooga, TN; two great-great-grandchildren, Alewyn Charlotte Harper and Averi Rae Harper.
There will be a Gathering of family and friends from one o’clock in the afternoon until two thirty in the afternoon on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at two thirty in the afternoon in Dignity Hall of Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Springhill Cemetery in Madison, TN.
