

She is preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Morgan Boaz Reynolds, and by William Clyde “Dixie” Roberts to whom she was married for 27 years. She is also preceded in death by her son, Morgan Boaz Reynolds, Jr. (Connie) and her twin sister, Mary Brugh Braden.
She is survived by her five other children, Margaret Justin Reynolds Dudley (Ed), Susanne Brugh Reynolds Thombs, Elijah Spangler Brugh Reynolds (Brenda), Mary Elizabeth Reynolds Buttrey (Dan), Elaine Bryan Reynolds Harr (Michael).
She is also survived by four step children, Patricia Roberts Morrison, William Clyde Roberts, Jr., James Alexander Roberts (Priscilla), Larrimore Burton Roberts (Marty) and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Margaret and her twin sister attended the Cathedral School and graduated from Peabody Demonstration School, Ward Belmont and Vanderbilt University, where Margaret was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority, and where she and her sister were fondly known as the “Brugh Twins.”
During their college years, the twins attended a summer at the University of Wisconsin at Madison where they participated in art classes. These classes instilled in Margaret the beginning of a lifelong passion in painting. Margaret’s paintings have been exhibited at the University Club, Belmont College, Belle Meade Plantation, Cheekwood, Harpeth Hall School and The Parthenon. Margaret also enjoyed playing golf and played tennis into her nineties. She also played duplicate bridge into her one-hundreth year.
Margaret was a member of the Nashville Symphony Guild, the Ladies of Charity, the Centennial Club, Belle Meade Country Club, Le Petit Salon and The Vanderbilt Aid Society.
Margaret was a gracious hostess who enjoyed having gatherings in her home for her family and friends throughout the year. She was loved by many who will miss her beauty, artistry, intelligence and quick wit.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 24, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Incarnation. Visitation with the family and friends will be from 1:00 until 2:00 at the church. A private graveside service will be at Calvary Cemetery following the service. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
