Mrs. Crockett was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Baker Crockett, Sr.; sister, Mary Stephens Parks; and brother, John Stephens.
Mrs. Crockett is survived by her son, Sam B. Crockett, Jr. of Nashville, TN; brother, Horace Stephens, Jr. and sister, Irma Troxler of Tullahoma, TN.
Mrs. Crockett was a graduate of University of Tennessee and Middle Tennessee State University. Her career consisted of 42 years in education. She retired from the Tennessee State Department of Education. She was a member of Woodmont Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
A second visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at First Baptist Church, Wartrace, with graveside service to follow at 2 p.m., at Hollywood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Woodmont Baptist Church, American Cancer Society, or Wartrace Baptist Church.
