Peggy graduated with a B.S. degree from Mississippi University for Women. On October 15, 1944, she married Dr. Hutton. They moved to Nashville following Dr. Hutton’s return from the European Theatre of War. A faithful member of West End United Methodist Church, she served on the Board for two terms. Always active in the Nashville community, she served on the boards of Home 2 Inc., the Nashville Junior League, the Board of the Nashville Academy of Medicine Alliance and of the Tennessee Medical Association Alliance. As a member of the Cross Creek Garden Club, she planted and arranged flowers, always with energetic commitment. She was a member of many organizations including Belle Meade Club and Cheekwood.
In her 50’s she became a licensed real estate agent and sold homes until she retired from Fridrich & Clark Realty in her 80’s. In real estate she found immediate success. She loved her work and the profession.
Peggy grew up as the fourth child in a loving family of six children. She projected that love through caring for all three generations of her Nashville family. She adored her many friends, loved to play bridge, to dance, and to entertain. Peggy emanated southern charm with her friendly smile and a sparkle in her eyes.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Anthony Kilroy, Rob Cheek, her grandsons and great grandsons. We give special thanks to her caregivers and Alive Hospice who loved and cared for her.
