Ms. Margaret Elizabeth Walden “MeMaw” of Nashville, TN, passed away May 9th, 2020 at the age of 96. Margaret was an only child born on July 17th 1923 to the late Charles Black Phillips and Maude Jane Phillips.
Margaret was raised in Germantown, TN and worked for Werthan Cotton Mills for 45 years. Margaret is survived by her three children, son, Charles “Sonny” M. Parrish, two daughters, Reba Nell DePriest (Edwin), and Elva C. Shumate (Jimmy), six grandchildren, Denissa Morgan (Mike), Timmy DePriest, Butch Parrish (Tonya), Michelle Burcham (John), James Robert Shumate (Robin), and Jeffrey Shumate (Michelle), eight great-grandchildren along with three great-great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at a later.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation, Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Parkinson’s disease or Mama’s Boy’s Town.
