Stringer, Marie Bedford Age 76 of Birmingham, AL formerly of Nashville, TN, passed away December 26, 2010. Preceeded in death by parents, Duncan E. and Alma Thompson Bedford. Survived by husband of 53 years, John R. Stringer; daughter, Alison (Hilton) Yee of Houston, TX; son, J. Rodney (Karen) Stringer, Jr. of Old Hickory, TN; granddaughters, Kristi (Shawn) Allender of Franklin, TN and Ashlee Stringer of Old Hickory, TN. Mrs. Stringer was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her compassion for animals was tremendous. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Humane Society. A celebration of Marie’s life will be held 1 p.m. Friday, December 31, 2010 at Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall.
