I knew Micki when she lived in Detroit. We met through the legal secretaries association and became friends. Micki was so loved by her friends and fellow legal secretaries throughout Michigan. She held many offices in our organization, including secretary of the year. Micki and her mother then moved to her beloved Nashville where she established herself in the entertainment industry. I visited Micki several times and she proudly escorted me throughout Nashville and its suburbs. We shared many hours on the phone over the years. Micki spent her later years writing a book about her father who was with the Grand Ole Opre. She told me as a child she would be backstage when her father performed. She was extremely proud of her heritage and her father's career. Micki will be sorely missed by her Michigan friends. My sympathies to Micki's family.

Micki and i became fast friends while working at Vanderbilt in the late 90's. despite me moving away from Nashville, we remained close. we got together every chance we could and talked and laughed long hours every weekend. she was my undercover mother, my surrogate sister, my personal laugh track and occasional therapist. Life will not be easy without you, Micki. My deepest sympathy and love to Denny and his family, Donna Jean and her family, Ms Dottie (hope you're feeling well). i hope to meet you all some day and tell you some Micki and me stories.
