

Marjorie Lee “Bobbie” Charles Regen, age 88, passed away April 29, 2015 after a long battle with dementia. She was born December 20, 1926 to the late Charlie Charles and Rosa Lee Scruggs. Survived by her husband of 62 years, William P. Regen; sons Stephen (Vicki) Regen, Phillip (Jan) Regen, Kenneth Regen, Douglas (Robinson) Regen and eight grandchildren. Bobbie was a 1943 graduate of East Nashville High School and was voted Most Popular Girl in her Senior Class. She was a long time member of Waverly Place United Methodist Church and an original member of the Rena Green Class at Forest Hills United Methodist Church. Her first love was her family and she always found time to participate in her son’s school activities when they were young and provide support and encouragement as they grew up.
The family would like to thank her physician Dr. Louis Johnson and his staff, especially Lori, Brandy and Carla for their compassionate care. Also Carolyn Binford, Rosie Jones and Sharon Smith who were more than caregivers, they were her friends. Bobbie was grateful for her dear friends Homer and Ashley Brown, Winston and Rita Dodson and Jack and Lily Little.
The family will receive friends from eleven thirty in the morning until one on Thursday, May 14, 2015. A Celebration of Life service will follow visitation at one o’ clock in the afternoon in the Chapel of Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. There will be a private family internment after the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mental Health of America of Middle Tennessee in honor of Nancy Pertl or the Wounded Warrior Project.
