Martha A. Aydelott

Martha Ann (Sisco) Aydelott, age 88, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023. Martha was born in Hohenwald, Tennessee, the youngest of five and the only girl, to Odis Leamon and Etha (Duncan) Sisco on July 17, 1934.

Martha graduated from Lewis County High School and then moved to Nashville to work as a secretary at National Life Insurance Company. She married Clyde Dee Aydelott Jr. (C.D) in 1953. Over the years she also worked as a secretary at Kerrigan Iron Works, Alcoa Aluminum, American Freight Lines and finally at Anderson Piping Company. She was a member of the Antioch Church of Christ. She loved her family and many friends dearly. She also loved all sports especially golf.

Survivors include son, Ron (Colleen Davis) Aydelott; two cherished grandchildren, Abbi (Tripp) Raney and Aron Aydelott; and brother, Earl Sisco.

Other than her parents, Martha is preceded in death by her daughter, Lea Ann Aydelott; husband C. D Aydelott, and brothers, Bobby, Gene, and Osbey Sisco.

A gathering of family & friends for Martha will be held Friday, February 24, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204, followed by a celebration of life from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM.
