

She is preceded in death by her parents, Emma Ruth Carver and Jonah Jackson Carver, husband, Joe E. Conry, Jr., and brother, Robert Powell Carver.
She is survived by her loving and caring children, Shirley Ruth and Robert Allen Conry.
Martha was an LPN for 46 years. She graduated from nursing school at the Old Nashville General Hospital on August 17, 1970. She worked at McKendree Village from 1971 to 1975, Trevecca Health Care from 1979 to 1980, Vance Manor ion the 1970s and Clover Bottom Developmental Center from 1980 to 1992.
Martha was a member of the Order of The Eastern Star for 66 years. She belonged to the Cookeville Chapter #152, Nashville’s Buchanan #286, Amanda Chapter #4, in Crossville and Madison/East Nashville #1 in Madison, TN. She was Worthy Matron in 1965 for the first time – Buchanan #286 – second time in 1999 – Amanda #4 – third time in 2006 – Buchanan #286 – fourth time in 2012 – Madison/East Nashville #1. Martha was Grand Electa of the OES in 2000 in Tennessee.
Martha was a very caring and thoughtful person who liked to be around everybody she knew. She loved to read and work on crossword puzzles.
Daughter, Shirley Ruth, and son, Robert Allen, want to thank all the staff of Summit Medical Center, especially Dr. William McKean at Summit, and the staff at Alive Hospice in Madison, TN.
Visitation with the family will be on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm with an Eastern Star Service starting at 6:00 pm, and also on Friday, December 9, 2016 at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the time of service.
The Celebration of Life Service will be on Friday, December 9, 2016 at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home at 1:00 pm with special friend and Minister Van Mathis officiating.
Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
