My precious Auntie Marty, 
 I will miss you so much, but I am at ease knowing that you are reunited with your brothers and sister, mother and father, watching over us, from Heaven. I learned so much from you and am so inspired by you and how you lived your long and spirited life. I will always appreciate all your birthday cards and the amazing books you'd send me for Christmas. I value and honor your valor and independence, your gusto for travel, faith, singing, reading, kindness, and generosity. I loved that you savored the spice of life. I will always remember your pep, your appreciation of a cold cerveza when we went out for Mexican food, visiting the beach with you when you would come visit us in CA,  and never forget how heavy handed you were with maple syrup on your pancakes, just like me, and how fabulous you looked in a leopard print jacket, that I saw you wearing in pictures, from many years ago. I will never forget your beautiful hands and how soft they were, and your unmistakeable penmanship. One of my fondest memories is when Dawn, Ann, and I, got to look through a large box of your old photographs of you, with your siblings, family, and friends. I cherish being able to hear and see what a robust and beautiful life you have lived, from your time in El Salvador, to coming to Los Angeles, and even visiting Europe with your brother, my Grandpa Mario, about 10 + years ago....Incredible! You will never cease to amaze me, and I thank you for teaching me that "it is never too late" and the importance of being strong and having a healthy mind, body, and soul. Thank you for everything. We are all so so blessed to have had you in our lives, all the joy you brought to us, and we could all learn a lesson from you, on how to live a rich life and be a good person! I can honestly say I knew an Angel here on earth.  We were truly blessed to have her in our lives.  What an inspiration. She was the most thoughtful, loving, giving, self less person I have ever known.  May we all honor her beautiful spirit, zest for life and genuine warmth.  I will truly miss her but will forever hold her in my heart, to always remind me of how to be a really good person.  Viva Martha!! Vaya con Dios

So many wonderful memories of a lady who stepped out of her comfort zone into a new world in the USA. She embraced life here and enjoyed being an American. I always remember my aunt as being open to adventure. She really enjoyed her life that way. Thank you Marthy. Thank you for having been an enjoyer of life.
