Martha Ann Myers Stevens, Age 77 passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at her home in Nashville, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Scott. Survivors include Brother, Joe Myers of Georgetown, SC; sister, Teresa Lineback of Cary, NC; son, Michael Stevens of Asheville, NC; daughter, Jeanne Stevens of Nashville, TN and a number of nieces and nephews. Born in Parsons, Kansas, she was raised in Winston-Salem, NC and was a graduate of R.J. Reynolds High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and subsequently worked for Bell Labs as a computer Programmer. Later she and her husband moved to East Tennessee, where they both were employed for many years at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Following her husband’s death, she moved to the Nashville area. At her request, no memorial service will be held. The family is grateful to be held in your thoughts but requests that no flowers be sent.
