Mary Dawson

Mary Frances "Faffy" Green Dawson-Passed a-way peacefully on February 16, 2012. She was born Aug-ust 22, 1926 in Nashville, TN. She attended Vander-bilt University & raised a family in Nashville before moving in retirement to Navarre Beach, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Henry Dawson; her parents and two brothers. She is survi-ved by her two children, Dottie Dawson of Austin, TX & Hank Dawson of Destin, FL; her sister, Dorothy Green Tune of Shelbyville, TN; & many extended family members. She was a devoted Catholic & a member of St. Peter Catholic Church of Mary Esther, FL, where funeral services were held Monday. She will be sorely missed by her family & friends, who will remember her kindness, her faith, her outrageous sense of humor, & her love of bridge playing. She was a generous host to friends & family who enjoyed memorable visits to the "beach house" on Navarre Beach. In lieu of flowers, contri-butions may be made to St. Peter Catholic Church, 100 Francis St., Mary Esther, FL 32569, Catholic Relief Services, 228 W. Lexington St., Baltimore, MD 21201 or www.crs.org, or a charity of your choice . Graveside Services will be held, 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 22, at Woodlawn Memorial Park, with Deacon Thales Finchum & Rev. Kim Campbell officiating. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until time of services at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
