Mary Beasley Demastus

Demastus, Mary Beasley—Age 80 of Nashville, TN. September 7, 2012. Preceded in death by her father, Mr. E. Gray Beasley, her mother, Mrs. Lorena Jones Beasley; sisters, Mrs. Sally Beasley Harris, Mrs. Connie Beasley Guschke, Mrs. Nancy Beasley Gertschen and brother Mr. Gray Beasley. Survived by sisters, Mrs. Lorena Beasley Underwood of Columbia, TN, Mrs. Nita Beasley Ramsey of Florissant, MO, and brother, Mr. William Beasley of The Villages, FL; children, Mrs. Denise Demastus Northcutt (William D. Northcutt) of Grayson, GA, and Ms. Brenda Demastus of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Ms. Katie Northcutt, Ms. Patti Northcutt and Ms. Audrey Northcutt of Grayson, GA, Ms. Ashlei Hand and Mr. Jason Hand of Nashville, TN; 4 great-grandchildren; devoted niece, Ms. Carol H. Wilson of Columbia, TN; loving friends, Mrs. Fay B. Bailey of Knoxville, TN and Mr. and Mrs. Mike (Teresa) Pillow of Nashville, TN. Born in Aspen Hill, TN and graduated high school in Murray County. After having moved to Nashville, she began employment in 1962 at the Baird Ward Printing Company, and retired as personnel director on December 31, 1994. She was a lifetime member of the Vanderbilt Commodore Club and was a contributor and volunteer at the Frist Center for the Arts for over a decade, and a member of the Cheekwood Botanical Garden Society. A visitation service will be held Tuesday, September 11, 2012 from 4-7pm, and a memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at 11:30am at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home and Memorial Park (615) 383-4754. Her nurturing spirit lives on with the birds and flowers in her precious garden.
