HOLMAN, Mary Lois, age 77 of Nashville, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2011. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Lee Holman; sisters, Dot Underwood, Bet Ash and Helen Lavender; brothers, Lee and Joe Lavender. Survived by her husband, Bill Holman; son, Billy Holman; daughter, Carol (Tim) McVey; sister, Ann (Ted) Cox; grandchildren, Shawn, Brianna and Chase McVey and Alana Holman; brother-in-law, C.A. (Nancy) Holman; nieces, Lesley (Jim) Lawson, Sandra (Don) Gilbert, Vicki (Mike) Polk, Traci Horne and Brooke McClanahan; nephews, Clay Holman, Mike Cox, Larry and Barry Lavender. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. today, June 14, 2011 at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Russ King, Bro. Frank Batson and Bro. Jim Parnell officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Jim Biffle, Neal Harrell, Charlie Herndon, Tommy Parkey, Keith Taylor, Roy Young and Herb Ward will serve as Active Pallbearers. Jim Bevans, Ron Goodman, Wallace, Baird, Steve Adams, Mel Brown, Larry McWhirter, David Whitefield, Jack Scott, Sammy Smith, Joe Pugh, Potts Graves, Roy Ezell, Billy Hooper, Doug McMahan, Tim Rochelle and the Deacons of Donelson Church of Christ will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. Visitation with the family Noon – 2:00 p.m. today prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Donelson Church of Christ Generations.
