

Salazar, Mary Ellen age 72 of Franklin, TN passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2015. She graduated from Franklin High School in 1960 and went on to serve in the United State Army. Stationed in Germany she met and married Henry Salazar, they traveled and lived around the world eventually settling in Franklin where they happily raised three sons Craig, Patrick and Michael. She retired from the US Postal Service and spent her time as a loving mother, grandmother, and an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Women’s Veteran Network.
Preceded in death by her parents, Henry Ralph Warren and Mary Frances Hood; husband, Henry Joseph Salazar; sister, Juanita Clark; brothers, William Hood and Tandy Ladd. Survived by her sons, Craig Salazar (Susan), Patrick Salazar (Dianne), Michael Salazar; grandsons, Andrew Salazar and Sidney Salazar; step-daughters, Sharon Massey (Wayland), Doris Badia (Dominick); siblings, Patricia Stevens, Betty Whitefield, Sylvia Nalls, Roger Hood, Ron Ladd, Pamela Van Etten, Isaac Ladd, Brenda Newsom; numerous nieces and nephews; she will be missed by all who knew her.
Family and friends will gather Saturday, February 21, 2015 from two o’clock to six-thirty in the evening, and Sunday, February 22, 2015 from twelve-thirty until service at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, February 22, 2015 at two-thirty in the afternoon in the Dignity Hall at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home with interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.
