Mattie Sue Crocker, age 93, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2026. Born in Nashville on August 27, 1932, she was a lifelong resident of the city and a proud graduate of Cohn High School.
Mattie dedicated 40 years of her life to working as an administrative assistant at I.C. Thomasson Associates, where she was known for her dedication and commitment to excellence. In her personal life, she was passionate about gardening, flowers, and yardwork. Her love for nature and staying active kept her vibrant—Mattie was known for her dedication to walking, often walking 5 miles a day.
Mattie’s family was always at the center of her heart. She is survived by her niece, Donna Sue Garton; great-nieces, Raven Capps, Alexis Hogan, and Kenedi Garton; and six great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Howell E. Crocker and Mabel Louise (Gardner) Crocker, as well as her beloved siblings: William "Bill" Crocker, Robert "Wayne" Crocker, Donald "Don" Crocker, Larry Crocker, Pete Crocker, and Howell E. Crocker Jr.
