Mr. Mayford Lee Stafford, 83, passed away Saturday February 11, 2017. Mr. Stafford was born May 17, 1933, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Johnie and Nannie Stafford. Mr. Stafford was a veteran having served in the US Army. He was retired from NES where he was a lineman. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a infant sister Judy Anne Stafford. Surviving are his devoted wife of 60 years Helen Stafford. Daughter Donna Beard, Son Martin (Donna) Stafford. Three sisters Marie Langley, Norma ( Bob) Compton, and Katherine Hall. Brother James Stafford. Several nieces and Nephews also survive. A Celebration of Life service will be conducted Wednesday February 15, 2017, 12 Noon Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment Historic Mount Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2 until 7 pm at Mount Olivet. in lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Room in The Inn P. O. Box 25309, Nashville, TN 37202, or Alive Hospice 1710 Patterson St., Nashville, TN 37203 in Mr. Stafford's memory.
