Megan Hilary Williams

October 18, 1985March 29, 2021

Megan H. Williams, Esq, aged 35 of Nashville, TN, lost a rapid and brutal battle against cancer on March 29, 2021. Born in Madison, TN to Dr. Ken and Juanita Williams, after big sister Jamie and before little brother Ben, she lived life as the opposite of a typical middle child and always strove to stand out. From the start, she chose adventure over the mundane. Attending space camp as a child, she dreamed of reaching the stars. Life took her in a different direction to attend Depaul University in Chicago for undergrad and Florida Coastal School of Law. She passed the TN bar in 2011, started her own law firm in 2012, and transitioned to Cordell and Cordell in 2014. In 2016 she was named a Top 40 under 40 member of the National Advocates. But her main passion in life was always adventure. After traveling to most of the US, Europe, China, and UAE with her family, she ventured out on her own to Cambodia, Vietnam, Iceland, and other parts of the world. She fearlessly jumped from a plane and swam with sharks. As a tribute to her adventurous life and because her childhood dream was to go to space, a portion of her remains will have an Earth Orbit Space flight so that every time those who survive her look up, they will see her in the stars. . She is survived by her parents Dr. Ken and Juanita Williams, siblings Jamie Elliott and Ben Williams and their spouses Matt Elliott and Lindsay Williams, beloved nieces Daphne and Ivy Elliott, hundreds of friends, and her teacup Yorkie Benji. A Celebration of Megan’s life will be held on Saturday, April 10th, at her home church, Parkway Baptist, 505 Cunniff Pkwy, Goodlettsville, TN 37072, at 11:30 a.m. Visitation with the family will take place that morning from 9:30 until the celebration begins. Flowers are welcome, and other contributions can be made in Megan’s memory to the American Cancer Society:

. While her life was taken too soon, she “owned every second that this world could give, saw so many places, the things that [she] did … with every breath, She lived”.

Megan was a special person and very passionate about her work. Being her client we spoke and emailed often and I am deeply saddened by her passing. I had sent Megan a text message on March 10th letting her know that I was in continuing prayers for her, I also sent her a picture of a arm band my mother gave me which reads “God’s Got This”. To the family I offer my most sincere condolences on the loss of such a precious young woman who has helped so many. I truly feel blessed to have known Megan even for a short period. May God comfort and bless the family during this time as Megan will be missed by all who knew her. God Bless! Earl G. McGhee, MSG(R), USA.

I was so honored and blessed to meet Megan as we worked together at Cordell Cordell. Her smile and laughter were so contagious. Her presence brought joy. She will never be forgotten. I am praying for the entire family and her circle of friends. God makes no mistakes and I am so grateful for her life and friendship.

Dear Dr. Williams, Nita and all your family,

All those years I worked for I got to know your family. Jamie worked with me for awhile, and she was a great help. Megan and Ben were in and out of the office all the time. I watched those kids grew up. i love your family and I hurt with you. I know the Lord is with you giving you His love and comfort.

I am lifting you all up in prayer for now and latter.
Love to all.
