

Michael and his wife Rebecca of 48 years found joy in simple living. He enjoyed fishing, mowing, camping, piddling in his garage, working on his tractors, digging with his backhoe, polishing on his vehicles, family visits, and his dog Max. He had a gift of knowledge and with that included many skills. He was a true country boy.
These simple interest's brought him peace and happiness, and remain tender reflections of the life he lived with quiet grace.
Mike was a man of few words, but when responding to others it was always with respect, wisdom, and understanding. He was a dedicated and faithful employee of The Mathews Company for 47 years. He started at The Mathews Company at the age of 20. He was respected and admired by everyone. He was dedicated to his work with the company until he was no longer able, retiring in 2023.
He was preceded in death by his mother: Peggy Davidson; stepfather: Jesse Davidson; father-in-law: David Patton Sr; mother-in-law: Betty Patton; sister-in-law: Irlene King.
He is survived by his wife: Rebecca King; Son: Kenny Corbitt (Andie); Daughter: Jennifer Woods (Mark); Son: Wesley King (Amanda); Brother: Tony King; Sister: Norma Young (Tim); Brother: Jesse Davidson Jr; Uncle: James Fitts (Dot) Sister in law : Karen Harper; Brother in law: David Patton (Karlos) Grandchildren: Jacob Corbitt; Madison Corbitt; Drew Corbitt; Ally King; Jaxon King. Great-Grandchild: Rory Corbitt; Nieces: Tanya Fogle (Jason); Celina Slavinski (TJ); Jessica Elston (Jerome); Haley Terrazas (Mauricio) and several great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Mount Olivet Funeral Home & Cemetery, 1101 LEBANON PIKE, NASHVILLE, TN 37210, US, on March 19, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and again on March 20, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Following a Celebration of Life will take place at Mount Olivet Funeral Home & Cemetery, on March 20, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. After will be a graveside Service will follow at Mount Olivet Funeral Home & Cemetery.
