AYERS, Mildred Watson age 77, passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday, May 2, 2013. Born September 6, 1935 in Bedford Virginia to the late Mary Willis Watson & Edward H Watson. Preceded in death by parents, husband, Norman E Ayers. Survived by son, Daryal (Sandra) Ayers of Gretna, Va; daughter, Peggy Ayers of Nashville, TN; six grandchildren, Shellie Ayers of Gretna, Angie (Matthew) Doss of Gretna, Greg (Carrie) Ayers of Evington, Bradley (Jessica) Ayers of Gretna, Samantha & Sierra Ayers of Gretna; eight great grandchildren, Cody, Josh, & Jacob Henry, Travis Doss, Kara & Carly Ayers, all of Gretna, Reese & Ayden Ayers of Evington; brother, Clayton (Brenda) Watson of Moneta; Robin Shadden, of Nashville, whom she thought of as a daughter & host of other family & friends. Mildred was retired from General Electric in Lynchburg, VA., Opryland Theme park and The Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family, Mildred was kind, had a love for people, she will truly be missed by all. Funeral Services will be Sunday, May 5th at 3 pm with Bobby Kay officiating.Visitation with family will be 12 pm till time of service on Sunday at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home 883-2361. She will then travel to Virginia for her final service Visitation Tues. May 7th 6 - 8 pm at Finch & Finch Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, May 8th 11 am at Finch & Finch Funeral Chapel. Interment to follow at Altavista Memorial Park in Altavista, Virginia.

So sorry I was out of town. But you were in my thoughts. I had a 6 hour drive to think and pray for family and friends who are hurting. I prayed for you and Robin as well as the rest of the family. If there is anything I can do, let me know. God Bless.
