

Mildred Martin Sanders departed this life on June 21, 2017 at NHC Nursing Facility in Franklin, Tennessee. She was born in Nashville, Tennessee on April 16, 1918 and was 99 years old. She was a graduate of Nashville Central High School and Draughon’s Business College. She was a member of Waverly Place Methodist Church and Forest Hills UMC for 90 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence N. Sanders; parents, Elmer C. and Mattie Bell Martin, and three brothers. She is survived by daughters, Jean S. (John) Egbert, Rosemary (Michael) Ragan, Kathleen (Chris) King, and son, C. Martin (Lisa) Sanders; 8 grandchildren, Gray (Kerri) Egbert, Paul (Virginia) Egbert, Elizabeth (Mark) Kator, Jennifer (Jim) Holton, Reed (Olivia) Sanders, Jonathan (Ashria) King, and Thomas King; 13 great grandchildren, John Gray Egbert III, Nicholas Egbert, Rose Elaine Egbert, Marshall Cooper, Anna Cooper, Laura Kator, Charlotte Kator, Shane Kator, Ian Kator, Ella Miriam King, Yosef King, Chana King, and Sophia King. Visitation will be held at ten o’clock in the morning on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Woodlawn with Funeral Service to begin at one o’clock in the afternoon. Pallbearers: Gray Egbert, Paul Egbert, Alan Fisher, Hylton Hawkins, Jim Holton, and Mark Kator. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Nashville Rescue Mission.
