
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dr. Douglas Scott Hall, an esteemed astronomer at Vanderbilt University, and by her mother, Mary Evelyn Kemp, who taught at Vanderbilt Nursing School. Mimi is survived by two loving stepchildren, Bruce Hall (Lisa) and Brandon Hall (Anne Marie), who cherished her deeply.
Mimi graduated from Lindenwood College with a Bachelor of Arts degree. A talented artist, her work was exhibited locally, reflecting her creativity and passion for the arts. She was also a devoted animal lover, always caring for pets and supporting animal welfare causes. Mimi was known for her warmth, generosity, and unwavering devotion to family and friends. Her kindness and laughter brought joy to all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025, between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM at Marshall-Donnelly-Combs Funeral Home in Nashville, Tennessee. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Mimi’s life and share memories. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an animal charity of your choice in her honor.
