Minnie Towns Cottle Allen Born on February 18, 1922 in Smith County, TN, one of twelve children, and passed away on February 20, 2015. Preceded in passing by husbands, Raymond Cottle and Robert Allen; and friend T.C. Jewell. Survived by sisters, Burnease Piper Kilgo and Mary Baker; nieces and nephews, Ray Thomas, Dot Gregory, Betsy Towns, Kent Towns, Joyce Dias, Mamie Nell Samudeo, Fred Piper, Anita Fields, Mary Anne Watkins, Janice Robertson, and Phyllis Campbell; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. She had a long-time career in accounting and owned her firm for many years before partnering with her niece Anita M. Fields to create Cottle and Fields CPAs. She was an avid ballroom dancer and a past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star. Visitation will be held at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home on Sunday, February 22, 2015 from two to six o’clock in the evening and again on Monday, February 23, 2015 from ten-thirty to eleven-thirty in the morning, followed by funeral service at eleven-thirty, also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society in her honor.
