Minnie Pauline Graves Stewart was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 27, 1924. She passed away on October 10, 2015 at age 91. Pauline was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and faithful member of Madison Church of Christ. Best known as “Polly” by those she worked with at DuPont before retiring in the late 80’s. She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Stewart, Jr.; her two daughters, Paulette M. Stewart and Melba A. Johnson, and her granddaughter, Angela M. Cole. She is survived by her granddaughter, Melissa (Michael) Hester; grandsons, Brian Compton and James Johnson; great-grandchildren, Turner Hester, Drew Hester, Reed Hester, Hailee Hester, and Savanna Cole; former son-in-law, Ron (Delores) Compton and special family member, Lt. Col. Faren (Angie) Cole. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 17, 2015 at one in the afternoon, at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home in Nashville. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will take place on Friday, October 16, 2015 from five o’clock in the afternoon until eight o’clock. The family will also receive friends from noon until time of service on Saturday.
