
Age 82, passed away peacefully from this life on April 23, 2016. Monty was born August 6, 1933, in Hancock County, MS., to the late John W. Maskew and the late Alice Holden Maskew. Monty graduated from Bay High School and Pearl River Jr. College, and attended Mississippi State University. He served in the United States Navy on the U.S.S. Saipan as a radar technician during the Korean War, and four additional years in the Naval Reserves. He was retired from A.T.&T. Monty is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Linda Craun Maskew; sons, Monvel T, Maskew, Jr., Michael D. Wiggins (Christine), and William P. Wiggins (Marian); and 9 grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, James W. Maskew, and two sisters Louise Baggett and Mittie Smith, all of Mississippi. The family would like to thank Willow Brook Hospice Care, and Dr. Tracey Doering for their wonderful, compassionate care. Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Monday, April 25, 2016, from six o’clock until eight o’clock at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. A private graveside service will follow.
