Myron David (Mike) Mains died on December 4, 2020. He was born in Marietta, Ohio on November 15, 1927, and grew up in Johnson City, TN before moving to Nashville. He was the son of the late Miner Lee and Stella Sheehan Mains.
He graduated from Science Hill High School and attended East Tennessee State University. He was an Army veteran, a member of Belmont United Methodist Church and the Jessie Rustin Sunday School Class. He was a lifetime member of the NRA. He was a retired FDIC bank examiner.
In addition to his parents, Myron is preceded in death by his sister, Margaret (Bill) Scott; and brother, Robert (Virginia) Mains.
Mike is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Ruth Mains; nephew, Dr. Charles (Susan) Mains of Colorado; great nephew, Charles Mains, Jr.; great niece, Jackie Mains; sister-in-law, Charline Wilhite of Brentwood, TN; and nephews, Bart (Elizabeth) Pemberton and Brad (Marna) Pemberton.
A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at one o’clock in the afternoon in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at Brighton Gardens, and the hospice nurses, Calvin and Steven.
