Myrtle Louise Hackney, age 96, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 9, 2020. She was born on May 31, 1924 in Franklin, TN to the late Robert James and Mamie Myrtle Neely Street. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Sam G. Hackney; siblings, Floyd (Mildred) Street, James (Nannie) Street and Bradley (Geneva) Street.
She is survived by her children, Patrick Wade (Angie) Hackney and Pamela Joy Jacobs; grandchildren, Daniel V. (Erin) Jacobs and Benjamin E. (Morgan) Jacobs; seven great-grandchildren.
Louise worked for E.I Du Pont in Old Hickory, TN for 39 years, retiring at age 58. She was a lifelong member of Greenbrier United Methodist Church. Louise loved to travel to Hawaii with her husband Sam, enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family and her heart brought a smile to everyone she met. A life well lived, she will live on forever in our hearts.
A Graveside Service will be held at four o'clock in the afternoon on Sunday, July 12, 2020 at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home and Memorial Park.
