Nancy Coleman Gibson

GIBSON, Nancy C. Age 74 of Nashville passed away peacefully February 10, 2011. Survived by son, Robert “Bob” Gibson, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Pamela; grandchildren, Robert Phillip and Christopher Lee; sister, Helen Keen; numerous nieces, nephews and many close friends. Preceded in death by her loving husband of many years, Robert S. Gibson, Sr. Born in Beaver, KY on the 4th of July 1936. She was a graduate of Cohn High School in Nashville and worked for 50 years as an executive secretary of the Nashville Electric Service. She was a member of St. Phillips Episcopal Church in Donelson. Nancy loved to shop and spend time with her many close friends. She was a loving mother, devoted grandmother, aunt and gracious friend to all who knew her. “When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure” as Nancy will be. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall with Rev. Vicki T. Burgess officiating. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until service at WOODLAWN. Arrangements under the direction of Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home and Memorial Park, Nashville, TN.
