
Nancy Flemming Robertshaw, 52, of Nashville died Sunday September 4, 2016. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on September 9, 2016 at Church of the Resurrection in Franklin, TN. Interment will be in Greenville, Mississippi, at a later date.
Nan was born in Davison, MI, where she graduated from Davison High School. She graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in political science, and in 1992 Nan moved to Arlington, VA, where she taught in Arlington Public Schools and Fairfax County Public Schools. She earned her Masters in Education from George Mason University. In 1998 Nan moved to Nashville, where she taught for Williamson County Schools including Fairview Middle School and Brentwood High School. She was a gifted teacher who made a difference especially in the lives of her special needs students. She was a devoted mother, and served as a leader of Brownie Troop 7511
Nan is survived by her husband of 18 years, Frank Paxton Robertshaw, a son, James Fell Robertshaw, and a daughter, Nancy Yale Robertshaw, all of Nashville; her mother Nancy Fell Flemming of Franklin, a sister, Robin Meyers of Miami, two brothers, Stephen Flemming of Davidson, MI, and Phil Flemming of Phoenix, AZ, and two nieces, Abby Meyers of Miami and Lily Meyers of Seattle. Nan was preceded in death by her father, Phil Flemming of Franklin.
