Barbara and Mike,

I cannot tell you how very sad I am to learn about Nancy's passing. She was a wonderful caring person and the world is lesser now that her light is not with us. She was such a good person.

Nancy was a good freind of mine for the past 40 years we were in Mrs Boutwells Kindergarden class together.. the very best of friends. We have been friends all our lives ... I am so sad to see you go. My heart goes out to you Barbara. Erik Prock

Mrs. Schwartz and Mike, I am so sorry to hear of Nancy's passing.  I hadn't seen her in about 10 years.  I wished I had kept in touch with her.  She had a beautiful smile that would always brighten your day.  You are in my thoughts and prayers.

So sorry to hear of this.  I still remember her as a sweet little girl in the summer school program at Campus school, but know that there was a lot more than that to her life.  She will always be with you in your heart.

Keeping you in my prayers. I only recently met Nancy thru her work. She was the most outgoing, warm person I ever met.

Barbara I am sorry to hear of Nancy's passing. I was looking forward to seeing her at our 30 yr reunion this yr.

Dear Barbara, I was so saddened to read of Nancy's passing. Although we lost contact, I thought of her often and the many wonderful things she taught me. She had many loves, the greatest being her family. My prayera are with you as I have no doubt that God will guide you through this difficult time.

I am so very sorry and saddened to hear of Nancy's passing.  She was a good friend, a good person, and I have many fond memories of her.  

I met her in Murfreesboro through Mary Katherine Moore.  Nancy was working at Kroger at the time, and she and Mary Katherine were roommates in that big, old apartment building on Main Street.  I loved that place.  We had so many good times there. . . big parties and intimate dinners. . . long conversations.  I remember apartment and bird sitting for them once.  I think the bird's name was Bird.  

I drove with them from Tennessee to Los Angeles when Nancy went out there to study gemology.  Mary Katherine and I wanted to take our time on the trip, stop at all the fun, kitchy tourist traps.  Nancy, however, was eager to get out there, get settled, and start the next chapter of her life.  

She did compromise at times though.  We stopped to see the Grand Canyon and a few other things.  And, once we got to California, Nancy gamely took me to Hollywood, Malibu, and Disneyland.  She even rode my favorite ride, the Tea Cups, with me, even though it was not even close to being her cup of tea.  

One night, we went to the turtle races, where you pick out a turtle and race them against others'.  The details of the races are fuzzy, but I'm thinking Nancy picked a winner.  She also gained an admirer.  I recall a bearded guy named Darren really taking a shine to her and sticking close by her all night.  She took it in stride and may have been oblivious to his intentions.  

Later, I visited Nancy when she lived in New York City.  She once again took me out on the town and showed me around.  She was my friend from coast to coast.  

Nancy and I lost touch with each other several years ago.  I looked her up on the internet a few times over the last few years but never found anything or anyone that appeared to be her.  I'd intended to look up her mother, see if she still lived in the same place as she did when I was in Murfreesboro.  I regret not doing that sooner.  

Thinking about Nancy now, I fondly recall how much fun and how dryly funny she was.  She was down-to-earth, practical, pragmatic, friendly, and kind.  She was a good, hard worker.  Didn't she collect frogs?  I know she liked the color green.  Funny though, seems the only green vegetable she liked was green beans.  

Looking back, I clearly see how much of an impact Nancy made on me and my life.  She expanded my world.  I learned a lot about Jewish culture and religion from her.  She took me places I'd never been, got me to do things I'd never done, and probably wouldn't have otherwise gone or done.  I currently live in Brooklyn, and I'm certain that wouldn't have happened had Nancy not paved the way.  

To Ms. Barbara, Michael, and Nancy's friends and associates, I am sorry for your loss.  To Nancy, thank you for your friendship, for being a lovely person, and for changing my life.  I will continue to miss but cherish and appreciate you.

So sorry for your loss.I worked with Nancy back in the 80's with RGIS.She had a very infectious smile and a wonderful sense of humor.A very warm and caring young lady.Hope that you find comfort and peace in your memory of her.

I didn't get to see Nancy very often but when I did, we could talk for hours about anything and everything, especially gemstones, rocks and Blue Heelers.  I will miss Nancy, her smile and her laughter.

I talked to Nancy every day as I delivered mail to Diamond Outlet. Thru these conversations I learned she loved her birds and dog, playing darts and adored her mother and family. We laughed a lot and became friends and I'll miss her smile and laughter. Tammie
