Chambers Brown, age 87, departed this life on Friday, January 24, 2020. He entered this life on August 5, 1932 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late, William Joseph and Luzinka Rosetta Kinnard Brown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 43 years, Martha Roberts Brown; son, Reginald Tyrone Brown; daughter; LaDonna Blair; brothers, William J. Brown, Thomas J. Brown, Wesley F. Brown, Joseph A. Brown, Louis R. Brown, and Spencer J. Brown; sisters, Selena G. Brown-Davis, Ester M. Brown-Norman, and Mary E. Brown-Jordan.
Offutte proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict. After his service, he held various jobs and eventually mastered his craft of a Brick Mason. He was a faithful member and deacon of the Cowan Street Missionary Baptist Church.
Mr. Brown is survived by his daughter, Angela (Ron) Markham of Nashville, TN. Six Grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, sister, Catherine Brown and a host of extended family.
The Family will receive friends from eleven o’clock in the morning until twelve o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, February 1, 2020. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at twelve o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at the Cowan Street Missionary Baptist Church, 1717 4th Ave N, Nashville, Tennessee 37208.
Reverend Louis C. Taylor will officiate, and Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
