Otha Hoil Crowe Sr., age 95, of Brentwood, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022. Hoil was born February 14, 1927 in Monroe, Georgia, to the late Lera and Sunnie Crowe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Sue Crowe; daughter, Vicki (David) Edgens and siblings, Lamar (Bertha) Crow, Thois (Nellie) Crowe and Gene Crowe.
Hoil is survived by his son, Hoil Jr. (Angela) Crowe; grandchildren, Derek (Kara) Edgens, Tyler Edgens, Austin (Jozi) Crowe and Sydni Crowe (Caleb Corley); great-grandchildren, Karlee, Cooper, Kenlee, Bowen and Harper; a host of nieces, nephews and more friends than he even realized.
Hoil served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. After service, he attended Georgia Tech, and studied Industrial Engineering. He retired from Ford Glass Plant.
Over the next two decades, Hoil and Sue enjoyed traveling to their second residence on the Gulf Coast and spending time with family and friends. He was a deacon, served in multiple church positions and was a longstanding member of Crievewood Baptist Church. Hoil was the model grandfather, who rarely missed a dance recital or ball game for his grandchildren. He was a devoted caregiver for his wife during her long illness.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from nine until eleven o'clock in the morning on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 followed by a Celebration of Life Service that will be held at eleven o'clock in the morning at Crievewood Baptist Church, 480 Hogan Rd., Nashville, TN 37220, Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
