Pamela Joyce Check - Born in Nashville, TN on the 25th of February 1944 to the late Carson and Aleen Reed, and passed away in Nashville on the 28th of June 2014 at the age of 70. Preceeded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald Check; and brother, Joel Reed. Survived by her sons, Mark Nickel, Mike Nickel, and Michael Check; and granddaughters, Rachel and Samantha Check. She completed her undergraduate studies at TN Tech, and earned her MSW from the University of TN. Pamela spent over 45 years as a social worker in middle TN helping people in crisis and a lifetime of loving her children. Family will gather with friends for a time of visitation and remembrance from four o'clock until eight o'clock this evening at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Woodlawn's Dignity Hall on Wednesday, the 2nd of July 2014 at two-thirty in the afternoon with visitation held two hours prior. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
