Patricia Lynn Brown

BROWN, Patricia “Patty” Lynn, age 68, of Nashville, TN, passed away at home on December 31, 2021, under the care of Alive Hospice after a courageous three-year battle with cancer. She remained positive, focused, and determined the whole time.

Patty was born on June 3, 1953, in Nashville, TN. She graduated from Saint Bernard Academy in 1971. She began her career and worked for years in the printing industry following in her father’s footsteps. Patty retired from Metro Codes and later Vulcan Materials.

Patty is proceeded in death by her father and mother, Paul and Mary Brown, and her brother, Gerald “Gerry” Brown. She is survived by her daughter Christy Barnes, Jamie Barnes, and granddaughter Ryleigh Barnes; brothers David (Elizabeth) Brown and Tom (Sandy) Brown; sister-in-law Kathy Brown; niece Jennifer (Chris) Haley; nephews Jeff (Dawn), Jeff, Kevin (Paula), Kris (Jenny), Patrick (Jordan), and Ryan Brown.

She was a second mom and friend to so many. She loved reading, music, movies, swimming, and spending time in the country. She also loved to celebrate and decorate for the holidays.

No funeral or memorial service is immediately planned. The family will notify loved ones in the future when a service is scheduled.
