

Patricia was predeceased by her parents, Edward Potter, Jr. and Bertha Herbert Potter. She was also predeceased by a sister, Jean McCann of Jessup, Georgia.
Ed Potter was a prominent banker in Nashville where, during his career, started the first statewide bank and founded Commerce Union Bank. Bertha was a nationally recognized artist whose works were shown in New York as well as Nashville. She painted extensively in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Patricia was married to William David Haggard (deceased) and was predeceased by her husband of 35 years, Robertson McDonald.
Patricia was the mother of, and is survived by, four sons: William David Haggard IV, Edward Potter Haggard, Robertson McDonald Jr, and Donald McDonald. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Jason A. Haggard, Patricia H. Percefull, Annie L. Haggard, Edison Haggard Christina McDonald Wilson, Robertson McDonald III, Bonnie McDonald Miller and ten great-grandchildren: Aiden L. Percefull, Kathleen A. Touchstone, Patricia L. Touchstone, William D. Haggard V, Joseph R. Haggard, Jacob P. Haggard, Kaveh Wilson, Jet Miller, Eloise Miller, Martha Miller- 12th generation Nashvillians.
Patricia attended Ward Belmont College and was a member of St. George’s Episcopal Church, the Centennial Club, Belle Meade Country Club and Deer Park Garden Club. She also co-founded Sailair Travel Agency. She sat on the Board of Directors for Commerce Union Bank and was the first woman to serve in that role. She and her husband Rob were very active in Harbor Island Yacht Club where Rob was Commodore in 1971.
Together they travelled the world, but their most cherished place was a small island they owned in northern Ontario.
Visitation will be held at St. George’s Episcopal Church, 4715 Harding Road, Nashville, on January 3, 2025 from 10:30 to noon. There will be a private graveside service for the family following visitation.
