

Patricia was born on July 31, 1936, in Loretto, Tennessee, to Aileen Dorothy Simbeck and Ralph M. O’Connor.
Patricia graduated from Saint Thomas Hospital nursing school in Nashville, Tennessee. Where she dedicated her life to caring for others as a surgical nurse at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, from which she retired. She was a hard worker who found joy in volunteering, especially with the Ladies of Charity, and was a devoted member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
Family meant everything to Patricia. She treasured time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Known for her wonderful cooking and warm hospitality, Patricia’s home was a gathering place filled with love.
She is survived by her children Kelly Williams, Mary McRedmond, Sheila Harrell, Dorothy (Mike) Gregory, and Michael McRedmond; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and her sister, Karan Lyons, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, John J. McRedmond III; her son, John J. McRedmond IV, and his wife, L. Kathleen; and her grandson, John J. McRedmond V.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m., at Marshall Donnelly Combs Funeral Home, 201 25th Ave North, Nashville, TN 37203. Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 192 Graylynn Drive, Nashville, TN 37214. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, 1001 Lebanon Pike, Nashville, TN 37210.
Patricia’s life was marked by love, faith, and service. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
