Pauline W. Wells

Pauline (Polly) Joyce Wells, 91, Franklin, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2023, in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Polly was born to Chester Mayo and Rosa Lee Weathersby on September 29, 1931, in Tarboro, North Carolina.

Polly married Howard A. Wells, on November 26, 1953. Polly (aka Granny) loved nothing more than rocking a baby! She loved church, reading her Bible, and doing puzzle books. She was a member of Walker Baptist Church in Franklin, Tennessee.

Polly is survived by her two children, Brenda (Don) Potts and Kim Neal; Daughter-in-law Ellen Wells; 6 grandchildren, Melinda (Jon) Hathaway, Jena (Mike) Watkins, Dan (Jenna) Wells, Stephanie (Stuart) Hawkins, Cassie (Ben) Cochran, and Nicole Wells; Twelve great-grandchildren, Alex, Kaylee, Benson, Nora, Emmalyn, Adeline, James, Hudson, Sophia, John, Charlie, and Oliver.

Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Howard A. Wells, and son, Michael A. Wells.

A gathering of family & friends for Pauline will be held Saturday, September 23, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Walker Baptist Church, 1350 W Main St, Franklin, TN 37064. A Celebration of Life will occur at 1:00 PM. An entombment will occur Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204.
