

Phil was a graduate of Father Ryan High School and went on to attend the University of Tennessee, where he was a proud member of Pi Kappa Alpha (“Pike”). He later earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Samford University. He dedicated his professional life to the field of pharmacy, spending an impressive 47 years serving others through Bradley Drugs, Bradley Healthcare, and Ace Hardware of Brentwood. His commitment to his work and the people he served was an important part of his life and legacy.
Outside of his career, Phil enjoyed spending his free time playing golf and traveling. He cherished the friendships, memories, and experiences that came from doing the things he loved and exploring new places. He was also a devoted companion to his dogs, Gabby and Rolo, who brought him great joy.
Phil is survived by his wife of 22 years, Lynne Bradley; his stepchildren, Lindsay Blankenship (Jacob) and Alex Proctor; his sisters, JoAnne Atwood (Robert) and Barbara Tucker (Wayne Pauley); and his nieces and nephews, Greg Atwood (Mary), Doug Atwood (Bridgett), Mike Atwood (Sara), Matt Tucker, Sarah Reynolds (Kramer Reynolds), and Abby Tucker.
He was a proud grandfather to Kimberly, T.J., Lillian, & Allison Valentine, and Wesley, Annabeth, & Lottie Kate Blankenship and a cherished great-uncle to Elliot Atwood, Mac and Parker Atwood, Mary Catherine, Chip, and Carter Atwood.
Phil will be remembered and deeply missed by his wife, sisters, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-nieces and great-nephews, friends, colleagues, fraternity brothers, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His love, kindness, dedication, and the memories he created with those around him will remain with them always.
Visitation & Funeral Service
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 2:30 p.m.
