BENTLEY, Ressie Mae Baskin died peacefully at home, as was her, wish, on Tuesday January 4, 2011. She was the 4th of six children born to Thomas Wilson Baskin and Maude Mitchell Moser on Blue Well Lane in Norene, Tn. She married Charles M. Bentley, Jr. on December 11, 1943, and had two children, Sherry Ellen and Donna Mae. She began her teaching career in a one room school house, and she was the last teacher in the last one room school house in Wilson County. She is survived by her daughters, Sherry (Rob) Williams R. N. and Donna (Rodger) Grimm EdD; one sister, Mary Jordan of Lebanon, TN.; three grandchildren, Nathan (Dusty) Williams, Amber (Jay) Brothers, Brooke Williams; eight great-grandchildren, Ryan, Kayla, Hayle, Lynzie and Alex Williams, Jared, Jacob and Jordon Brothers. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Friday at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Cross officiating. Interment will follow at Wilson County Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers: Nathan Williams, Ryan Williams, Harold Jennings, Larry Baskin, Jay Brothers, and Chris Eades. Honorary Pallbearers: Richard Gray, Gary Gray, Tommy Elder, Chester Jordan, and Dave Parker. The family would like to thank Alive Hospice and the entire nursing staff on the 5th floor of Summit Hospital for their exceptional care and concern. The family wants to say a special word of thanks to Judy Eades who has been mother’s good friend and caregiver for the past year and a half.
