Richard Howard Marcrum, Sr., 93, of Smyrna, Tennessee, passed away January 7, 2025. He was born in Nashville, Tennessee on February 24, 1931. He was married to Dora Marcrum on October 21, 2000, in Smyrna, Tennessee.
Richard worked in Sheet Metal for 35 years and was a member of Smart Local 177 Union. He had a passion for auction sales, working in his shop, and cars.
Richard is survived by Dora Alice Marcrum, his daughter Evelyn (Mark) Lucas, son Richard Marcrum, Jr., step-children Fred Baggett and Jackie Gentry; Grandchildren Michael, Crystal, Amber, Lisa, Mark Jr., Mandy, Luke, Alexandria, Bryan, Allison, Jackson, Hannah, Caitlyn, Ethan, and Emily; Great-grandchildren Eric, Kiya, Terrance, Owen, Ambria, Amara, Naleelah, Kaiser; Great-great grandchildren Evie, Emmie, and Clemintin; Sister-in-law, Brenda Fentress. He had numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents George Smith Marcrum and Mary Katherine Fentress, his wife Eva Francis Marcrum, daughter Ann Thompson, grandson Casey Lucas, siblings: James Marcrum, Eva Mai Zimmerman, Hazel Louise Lane, Thomas T. Marcrum, William Jewel Marcrum, Georgie Marcrum Thomas, and Shirley Jean Davis.
A gathering of family & friends for Richard will be held Monday, January 13, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204.
A gathering of family & friends will occur Tuesday, January 14, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home followed by a celebration of life at 1:00 PM. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204.
